Radiologist Jeļena Birdina has obtained her degree of a doctor from Rīga Stradiņš University. She currently continues expanding her education in diagnostic radiology as a graduate student of Radiology at the Faculty of Further Education. Jeļena Birdina has improved her professional qualifications by working as an assistant at the Department of Morphology of the Institute of Anatomy and Anthropology of Rīga Stradiņš University, as well as a nurse assistant at SIA Daugavpils Regional Hospital. In addition to her duties at GK Neiroklīnika, Jeļena Birdina also works as a radiologist-diagnostician at other medical institutions, as a resident physician at SIA Daugavpils Regional Hospital, as well as an assistant at the Department of Radiology at Rīga Stradiņš University. Jeļena Birdina has extensive international experience: she has been an intern at the Department of Musculoskeletal Radiology of Meilahti Clinical University Hospital in Helsinki, Finland, at Sant Joan de Reus Clinical University Hospital in Spain, at the Department of Neuroradiology of Klinikum Kassel in Germany and on the ESSR Outreach MSK Ultrasound course in Kaunas, Lithuania.
