Education and experience

Sandra Svilpe obtained the degree of a doctor from Rīga Stradiņš university in 2006 and continued to specialise in neurology during graduate studies at Rīga Stradiņš University from 2007 to 2012, while working at the Emergency Medicine Centre. Sandra Svilpe has also consulted patients at the 7th Neurology Department of the Clinical Centre Gaiļezers and at the Multiple Sclerosis Unit of Riga East Clinical University Hospital and, since 2017, she has been performing doppler ultrasound examinations at MFD health centre. The neurologist regularly attends international congresses organised by the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS), as well as she is a member of the European Association of Neurology (EAN) and participates in the congresses organised by the association. The doctor is especially interested in therapy options of patients with multiple sclerosis, which have expanded considerably in recent years and allow one to reach better results. “Healthy lifestyle and positive thinking lies at the basis of health. It is important to address prevention promptly in order to save resources on therapy.”
